Top 11 things from 2011

2-Step
Damu, Dark Sky, Sully, VVV - all my favourite club records had something in common.

Action Bronson
The only rapper who wrote a rhyme about duck prosciutto then turned up on Anthony Bourdain’s TV show ranting about cheese shops.

Brad Pitt
Somehow the lead in two of the year’s best movies.

Homeland
This year’s “why aren’t you watching…” show.

Hot Dogs
Fuck tacos.

KUBIK Melbourne
Such a cool idea/space/marketing effort, capped off by the most memorable gig of the year (The Gaslamp Killer vs. non-stop downpour).

Louis C.K.
His show took the leap, then he rolled out the perfect case study for digital content distribution.

New Zealand beating Australia in a Cricket test
Last time this happened I wasn’t legally allowed to drink.

Take Care
Among other things, the preferred post club listening for post-dubstep heads.

Teusner Wines
Just ridiculously good value.

www.grantland.com
Over/under on the number of articles I read? 2,000.

4 hours of fresh grime business? yes.

Grantland Preview Articles
